Multiple Owners
An organization can have multiple owners:
- All owners have equal permissions
- Owners can promote members to owner
- Owners can demote other owners to member
- At least one owner must remain in the organization
Warning: Be careful when promoting users to Owner. They'll have full control including the ability to remove you.
Removing Members
Owners can remove members:
- Go to team management
- Find the member to remove
- Click the remove/delete button
- Confirm the removal
Note: Removed members lose access immediately, but their created pitch decks remain in the organization.
Leaving an Organization
Members can leave an organization voluntarily:
- This removes them from the team
- They lose access to the organization's workspace
- Their created content remains in the organization
Note: The last owner cannot leave without transferring ownership first.
Transferring Ownership
To transfer primary ownership:
- Promote the new owner to the Owner role
- The new owner now has full access
- You can remain as an owner or demote yourself
Best Practices
- Keep the number of owners minimal (1-2 for most teams)
- Use the Member role for most team members
- Review roles periodically as team needs change
- Remove access promptly when people leave
- Document who has owner access for your records
