Editing Your Deck

Customize your pitch deck with our powerful visual editor

After your pitch deck is generated, you can use the Crellus editor to make any customizations. The editor provides powerful tools for editing text, images, and layout.

Accessing the Editor

To edit a pitch deck:

  1. Go to your dashboard
  2. Click on a completed pitch deck card
  3. The deck opens in the editor view

Editor Interface

The editor is divided into several areas:

Top Navigation Bar

  • Save - Save your current changes
  • Download - Export as PDF
  • Exit - Return to dashboard

Top Control Panel

Contextual controls that appear when you select an element:

  • Text formatting (font size, color, bold, italic, underline)
  • Container styling (background color, opacity)
  • Image controls (opacity)

Left Sidebar

Three panels accessible via tabs:

  • Uploads - Add new images to your deck
  • Text - Insert text boxes with preset styles
  • Layers - View and manage element layers

Canvas Area

The main editing area showing your pitch deck pages:

  • Scroll vertically to navigate between pages
  • Click elements to select them
  • Drag elements to move them
  • Use handles to resize elements

Basic Editing

Selecting Elements

  • Click - Select a single element
  • Shift+Click - Add to selection (multi-select)
  • Cmd/Ctrl+A - Select all elements on the page
  • Click background - Deselect all
  • Escape - Deselect all

Moving Elements

  • Click and drag any selected element to reposition
  • Alignment guides appear to help with positioning
  • Elements snap to edges and other elements for precise alignment

Resizing Elements

  • Select an element to show resize handles
  • Drag corner handles to resize proportionally
  • Drag edge handles to resize in one direction
  • Use the rotation handle to rotate elements

Saving & Exporting

Saving Changes

  • Click "Save" in the top bar or press Cmd/Ctrl+S
  • Only changed pages are saved to optimize performance
  • A success notification confirms when saved

Exporting as PDF

  • Click "Download" in the top bar
  • The deck is rendered to PDF format
  • Download starts automatically when ready

Remember: Save your changes before exiting the editor or downloading. Unsaved changes will be lost.
